NFTs have boomed in an unexplainable way over the past 2 years. From celebrities to global finance ministers, everyone is trying to get a piece of the pie. One industry in particular has become huge business and that is the art world. These once-mystifying digital assets are now creating shockwaves through fashion, activism, poetry and more – and it’s being driven by women. In a bid to make the NFT world more inclusive, here are some powerful women-led NFTs driving DEI in the Metaverse.

The Vision: A community celebrating representation, inclusivity, and equal opportunities for all. United by a first-of-its-kind collection, featuring 10,000 artworks of diverse and powerful women.
WOW seeks to grow the NFT art space that’s already here and that we all love. Thousands of artists are committed to the space and WOW do their part to lift the market up by reinvesting 15% of all primary sales back into cryptoart. WOW also empowers women by promoting diversity. In doing this, 2.5% of all primary sales are donated to each of these 3 causes: She's The First, Too Young To Wed & Strange Cintia.
Desperate ApeWives (DAW) - The Florist, The Gardener, Archer McCall, Anna

The Vision: DAW’s vision is a world of limitless creative freedom for all, regardless of who you are. Many of us have heard of the elite community of people that own a Bored Ape NFT. Well... that community had grievance that there is a lack of representation in emerging NFT trends and so this inspired a new collection called Desperate ApeWives. Each ApeWife is unique and generated from over 218 traits; the top 22 apes are inspired by iconic women, including the Queen. Its creators continued to tap into the ‘club’ aspect so when you buy an ApeWife NFT, you also buy into an exclusive DAW membership, which comes with members-only benefits including access to parties and limited-edition brand drops.

The Vision: This project is a promise to restlessly work towards the education and empowerment of underrepresented individuals in the world of crypto.
The Women of Crypto are diverse, yet one of a kind, so as to digitally represent and celebrate the special traits particular to every single woman of the world. Fundamentally, their efforts are invested in bridging the gender gap, aiming to inspire and invigorate more women to participate in the world of crypto. Collective and indiscriminate effort facilitates inclusivity.
Visually standing out from the rest, Women of Crypto, which launched on 3 February 2022, is a collection of 8,888 3D-rendered NFTs with 111 physical traits, individual characteristics, accessories and backgrounds. Meanwhile, 50% of royalties go directly to two of their partner charities: Women Who Code and CryptoChicks.
